PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a foam molded product having a fancy pattern on an attractive surface of the molded product. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacture of a foam molded product wherein prefoamed particles are filled in a molding space 25 partitioned by inner walls 23, 24 of a molding tool composed of a core mold 21 and a cavity mold 22, and a foam molded product is molded by foam-fusing the prefoamed particles by heating with a heating medium, a mold surface material 27 composed of a sintered body of a plurality of porous metal sheets through which the heating medium is enabled to pass is fitted only to a wall surface practically normal to a mold opening direction in the molding space, and the foam molded product is molded. Thereby, since the mold surface material 27 is molded by being fitted only to the wall surface practically normal to the mold opening direction in the molding space 27, a fancy pattern transferred to the foam molded product from the mold surface material 27 is not destroyed by a surface irregularity of the mold surface material 27 in mold releasing, and remains in a complete state still after mold releasing. |
