FLAME-RETARDANT SHEET

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a flame-retardant sheet having excellent flame retardance and sufficient paper strength by utilizing oyster shell as a waste material. CONSTITUTION: This flame-retardant sheet is obtained by making slurry containing oyster shell powder obtained by crushing oyster shell and having 20-500μm particle diameter as a main material and pulp as an auxiliary material, respectively into sheet. A binder comprising a reinforcing fiber such as glass fiber and a high molecular organic compound such as acrylic resin can further be added to the slurry in order to increase paper strength and sepiolite can be added to the slurry in order to improve flame retardance. Since the oyster shell powder can readily be made into paper and the oyster shell is substantially inorganic material, a sheet (paper) excellent in flame retardance is obtained.
