PURPOSE: To provide a game machine which allows to change at a high speed a game character face with limited quantity of information by giving it a montage function, where 4 parts of a game character face, hair style, face type, eyes and mouth, are selected from those memorized and merged. CONSTITUTION: A CPU circuit 7 writes an object and background image, read out of a character memory 12, in a screen memory 14 to display the combined image on a monitor 3. It also writes the game character face parts, read out of a parts ROM 11, in the screen memory 14 after merging them by a work memory 9, to display the combined image on the monitor 3. The monitor 3 reads image data stored in the screen memory 14, and converts them into the visible ones to display. A player manipulates an operational device 2 to play the game while watching the visible images on the monitor 3, where the parts ROM 11 stores the game character faces by 4 parts; hair style, face type, eyes and mouth. |
