PURPOSE: To prevent the change of shock energy absorbing amount due to load positional change with shock stroke of a specific % or more by specifying the adjacent lengths of a top plate and the one measure of a lattice in which the thickness of a rib is specific by using a polyolefin resin having specific values of Izod impact value and bending elastic modulus. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing structure 10 for a vehicle comprises a thin rib 14 having a predetermined height and stood in a lattice state on one surface of a flat platelike top plate 12 made of a synthetic resin material, wherein as the synthetic resin material, a polyolefin resin material which has 5kgcm/cm or more of Izod impact value and 5000 to 2000kg/cm<2> of bending elastic modulus is used. Simultaneously, the structure 10 has the thickness of the plate 12 exceeding 1.5mm, the thickness of the rib 14 being 0.6 to 1.2mm, the length of either one side of two adjacent sides of one measure of the lattice made of the rib 14 being 30 to 50mm, and the length of the other side being 30mm to 50mm. |
