The holder has a fixing device which can be incorporated to hang the holder with the bag on a wall. The holder can have an enclosing edge, being stamped out of a flexible sheet of polypropylene with flaps on the inside engaging in the bag handles. It can be bent into a curved shape having sufficient resilience to hold the bag open.
