PURPOSE: To prevent an accident or loss from occurring due to damage of a temperature sensor by a method wherein a vibration sensor is provided to be attached to the temperature sensor, whereby damage such as bending or breaking of the temperature sensor is detected. CONSTITUTION: A flange 5 is welded to be fixed to an outer side of a protection pipe 10 housing a temperature sensor 2 such as a thermocouple or a temperature resistor. the flange 5 is fastened to a bolt 6 which is welded beforehand to an outer side of a pipe 1 wherein a water having a normal temperature flows and the sensor 2 is held such that it is projected into an inner section of the pipe 1. A vibration sensor 11 such as a magnetic microphone, a strain gage or the like is loaded in a terminal box 7 of the sensor 2. Since the sensor 2 is held at its one end, vibration of the sensor 2 is sensitively caught by the vibration sensor 11 attached to the vibration sensor 7. Thereby, abnormal vibration or abnormal sound that occurs when the sensor 2 is damaged can be easily detected by the vibration sensor 7. |
