<p>Hitherto known winding devices have usually not allowed automatic operation, if only because the devices cannot provide winding bobbins sufficiently. Moreover, the known devices are always suitable for only one type of web and occupy very large floor areas. The winding unit according to the invention allows manual, semi-automatic or automatic operation, since a very large number of winding bobbins can be provided and stored, this being made possible by a central structural unit (6) receiving the web feed together with a feed channel (3) and paper-web inflow (7).
