PURPOSE: To reduce useless running and to efficiently use a battery by controlling the output torque of an engine and a motor based on output torque in which the route to the destination obtained by route acquiring means is estimated by fuzzy inference. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 481 of a controller 48 determines an estimated run pattern most suitable for the destination through a guide route which has been searched for by a navigation processor 50, and automatically selects the mode of a vehicle according to the output torque of a run position. More particularly, the change of the road width, the change of the grade, the length and the position of a corner, etc., are judged to determine the output torque, thereby controlling the engine 1 and the motor 10. The presumed optimum pattern is compared with a real pattern by the driver's actual desired torque, and when the order of fractal calculated is greatly deviated, membership function is altered, and another optimum pattern is presumed. |
