PURPOSE: To provide lead metal powder to be contained in active material which is oxidized quickly during aging process of an electrode plate. CONSTITUTION: A large number of lead ingots produced by casting highly pure lead in regular triangle pyramid forms are put into a rotating drum to produce lead powder. As to the lead powder, since the lead ingots come into collision against one another after the lead ingots are raised to the upper part in the drum, the collision occurs hand and the produced metal lead powder becomes flaky. Since the powder has a large surface area, oxidation reaction proceeds quickly during an aging process. The shape, of a lead ingot may be a square piller shape, a truncated cone shape. a truncated pyramid shape, a gutter shape, etc. |
