<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a cable and to simplify the structure of the mouth by emitting the wireless optical mouth in two different directions, receiving the light by the pointing device and converting the position information into coordinates. CONSTITUTION: The wireless optical mouth (mouth) 1 has a light emitting means emitting light in directions of X and Y axes orthogonal to each other. On the other hand, the pointing device 21 is made up of light receiving element groups x1-xn arranged in the direction of the x-axis to receive a light made incident via a lens 3, light receiving element groups y1-yn arranged in the direction of the y-axis to receive the light made incident via a lens 2, and a cable 22 used to send the light receiving signal obtained by the light emitting elements to a CPU. The moving quantity of the mouse 1 is calculated by allowing the light receiving elements x, y to receive the light emitted from the mouse 1 and converting the position information of the light receiving elements x, y into coordinate information of the x, y axes in the CPU.</p> |
