<p>PURPOSE: To improve performance with small processing steps and number of part items by dividing a brake disc into an outer peripheral part and an inner peripheral part, and providing an outer peripheral brake caliper and an inner peripheral brake caliper respectively on the outer peripheral part and the inner peripheral part. CONSTITUTION: A brake disc 24 is divided into an outer peripheral part 24a and an inner peripheral part 24b with an installation bolt 25 to a disc hub 22 being a boundary. The brake disc 24 is provided with an outer peripheral brake caliper 26 at its outer peripheral part 24a and an inner peripheral brake caliper 27 at its inner peripheral part 24b. The brake calipers 26, 27 are operated for braking by press-contacting pads arranged on both sides of the brake disc 24 with the brake disc 24 from both sides. A frictional area between pads and the brake disc is enlarged, so that braking performance substantially equal to that with two brake discs is obtained with weight of one brake disc.</p> |
