<p>PURPOSE: To reduce delay of data between the communication terminals by multiplexing the effective range information on the data contained in the payload and controlling the data contained in the payload based on the effective range information. CONSTITUTION: A transmission marker recognizing part 2 takes the marker of the cell to be transmitted next out of a marker queuing buffer 1 based on the control of a timing controller 8 and then sets the byte number of the designated data to a payload data buffer 5. When the buffer 5 stores the data in response to the set byte number, a multiplexing part 6 multiplexes the payload data and the corresponding marker. Then a multiplexing part 9 multiplexes the output of the part 6 and an ATM header and sets them to a transmission cell buffer 10. When the transmission of cells is completed at the buffer 10, the controller 8 takes again the marker of the cell to be transmitted next out of the buffer 1 and sets it to the part 2. Thus the variable control is possible to the quantity of data to be contained in the payload and the data delay time is reduced.</p> |
