Acoustic insulation panel e.g. for suspended ceilings

The panel comprises a plaster sheet (1), a viscoelastic sheet (2) and a sound absorbing material (3) superposed on each other. The plaster sheet is reinforced with fibres. The viscoelastic sheet is made of a bitumen base mixed with high density minerals, a fire proofing agent and elastomer. The sound absorbing sheet is made of incombustible mineral wool fibres.The plaster sheet edges (4) are strengthened by having an increased thickness. The viscoelastic sheet and the sound absorbing material are placed together between these reinforced edges. The external face of the sound absorbing material is flush with the upper faces of the plaster sheet edges. Grooves (5) are made in the plaster sheet edges.
