The tool comprises a support lever (13) with its first end (14) against and under the stop end crowbar support (15). A support plate (17) has a control arm (31) and a contact surface with the ground. The support plate has a pivot (21) enabling the support lever to pivot around it. The support plate contact surface with the ground has lugs (19) which grip the ground and prevent the support plate from slipping in the direction of the arrow (F).An actuator (23) for raising the lever is pivoted about a spindle (25) at the second end of the lever and connected to the support plate by a pivot (26). A spring connects the lever and the support plate in order to facilitate returning the lever to its low position.
