PURPOSE: To enhance control stability when the current control is started under a state where a voltage is already induced in a motor by starting the control of a power supply side converter from a state where the main circuit current is zero. CONSTITUTION: A current control circuit comprises a function generator or a signal generator 34 for generating a DC voltage appearing in a load side converter 3 at the time of starting the control, and a contact 35 which is turned ON only when the control is started. At the time of starting the control, a DC voltage at the load side converter 3 is applied to the voltage command section of a power supply side converter 1. Since the control is started under a state where the DC voltages are balanced between the power supply side converter 1 and the load side converter 3, the main circuit current is sustained at zero level even if the control is started under a state where a voltage is induced. Consequently, the motor can be controlled based on arbitrary setting of control constants from the initial stage of control and the control stability can be enhanced in the motor control system. |
