PURPOSE: To filter and interpolate a texture pattern and its texture value in the direction of (x) and that of (y) independently, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A filtering and interpolating part 16 filters the texture pattern read out from texture pattern memory 15 and compressed by stages in the direction of (x) and that of (y) independently, respectively by band compression by level difference in the directions of (x) and (y) from a level calculation part 11, and also, interpolates the texture value of the texture pattern in the direction of (x) and that of (y) independently, respectively by interpolation coefficients in the directions of (x) and (y) from a texel address calculation part 14. |
