The windscreen wiper blade consists of a cleaning scraper (14), formed by an upper longitudinal heel section (24) linked to a cleaning blade (20) by a longitudinal link section (28). The upper heel section pivots around the geometric axis of a housing (40), with the form of an open groove to allow the passage of the linking part through it. The housing is gripped, in open sections (34) of the heel, by a gripper component (18).The gripper component is designed to limit the pivotal movement of the heel of the blade, between two angular positions, defined by the shape of the internal groove section of the gripper. The internal profile of the groove consists of concave cylindrical surfaces (46A,46B,52), which co-operate with the complementary convex cylindrical surfaces (56A,56B,54) of the heel. All these curved sections are centred on the geometric pivot axis.
