The X-ray spectrometer has a source (4) with at least one capillary tube (3) which steers the X-rays away from a radiation-protected casing (1). The opposite end of the capillary tube is connected to a hole (6) formed in a detector (5) for guiding away the X-rays. The tube is at least partly conical in its inner part for focussing the X-rays, the cone angle being between 0 and 1 deg. The hole in the detector is in the centre of its surface, the detector being a semiconductor diode forming an operating chamber, which works in the temp. range -30 to +30 deg. C. A cooling part with a simple structure enables close positioning of a sample w.r.t. detector. |
