PURPOSE: To provide an easy-to-manufacture panel in which a high fineness, high brightness, and stability in discharge are estabilished without deteriorating the contrast characteristics of a plasma display device of such a structure that phosphor is energized with ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION: The wall surface of a hole 3a of a spacer (bulkhead plate) 3 to constitute a displaying discharge space 9 is inclined, and the hole area on the viewing side is made leager than the opposite side, and the rate of opening is enlarged. To the two surfaces of the part which is free from hole 3a, an electrode 4 for displaying discharge is attached by means of plating, evaporation, etc. Also the phosphor 12 is applied to the wall surface of the hole 3a for enlargement of the area where phosphor is applied. Further an aux. discharge space 10 is furnished in such a fashion that it is not visible from the viewing side substantially. |
