PURPOSE: To provide the radio telephone system with which absent transfer is enabled without spreading any useless radio link by setting another telephone hand set to absence when the absent transfer from one telephone hand set to the other telephone hand set is operated at a telephone base unit. CONSTITUTION: In an extension call originating state or the like, at a hand set 1a, a key operation due to an absence button or the like is performed by a key input part 110 and corresponding to the instruction of a control part 130, this information is transmitted to a base unit 2. The absence information is received from the hand set 1a, an absence registration processing part 211 is started, and an absent operation menu is transmitted to the hand set 1a. The hand set 1a, that receives the absent operation menu, displays this menu on an LCD display part 120 corresponding to the instruction of the control part 130. At the hand set 1a, a key operation for selecting the absent transfer is performed by the key input part 110, and the information is sent to the base unit 2. At the base unit 2, this information is sent to the absence registration processing part 211 corresponding to the instruction of a control part 220, the absence registration processing part 211 is turned to an absent transfer mode, and an absent transfer destination menu is transmitted to the hand set 1a. |
