A device (1), a method and a coupling seal between a flange (2) having at least one tube (9, 10) with a coupling end (9', 10'), and a part (3) provided with an opening (19, 20) connectable to said end. The seal (27, 28) is a composite seal located between the two coupling surfaces (4, 5) and includes a plate (29, 30) of constant thickness having a through-hole secured at its inner edge to an elastomeric ring (31, 32) which is, when free, thicker than the plate and has a constant cross-section and at least two lines of compression with the plane of each of the coupling surfaces (4, 5).
