Fixing for wrist-watch strap

A normal wristwatch movement and case (1) is mounted in an outer case (5) which is cut away in two opposite locations (8) to allow entry of the watchstrap ends. The outer case (5) has an upper crown (6) which is rotatable and carries two fingers (10).The two fingers (10) are shaped as the arc of a circle and engage or disengage with the watchstrap ends when the crown (6) is rotated. Security is provided by the engagement of notches (14) on the fingers (10) with teeth mounted on curved rods attached to the base of the outer casing (5).
