PURPOSE: To integrate a cover member of a rotary polygon mirror with an optical member such as a cylindrical lens. CONSTITUTION: Laser light L1 is deflected and scanned by the rotary polygon mirror 1, and is image-formed on a photoreceptor in a rotary drum through a spherical lens 7a, a toric lens 7b. The rotary polygon mirror 1 and its drive part are covered by the cover member 2, and the cylindrical lens 5 made of plastics for converging linearly the laser light L1 on the reflection surface 1a of the rotary polygon mirror 1 is formed integrally with the cover member 2. Since it is unnecessary that the cylindrical lens 5 is assembled individually, the number of assembling parts are reduced, and an assembling process is simplified. |
