PURPOSE: To realize the characteristic of automatic transmission control corresponding to the original meaning of a travel load by making judgement about the load condition of engine auxiliaries and eliminating the effect of an engine auxiliary load on the basis of the result of the judgement. CONSTITUTION: A control device executes the main routine where each process is implemented regarding judgement about the load condition of engine auxiliaries via an auxiliary load judgement means 30, the calculation of a gear change timing correction variable via a gear change timing correction variable calculation means 31, the calculation of a gear position via a gear position calculation means 32 and the calculation of a lock-up condition via a lock-up state calculation means 34, thereby calculating a gear change variable correction amount, depending on the load of an engine auxiliaries, and the amount is deducted from accelerator opening. Thereafter, an accelerator opening correction value corresponding to the original meaning of a travel load is obtained with the effect of the engine auxiliary loads eliminated. As a result, the level of fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission can be lowered. |
