PURPOSE: To provide a method for easily inspecting color filters. CONSTITUTION: If the pixel color arrangement of a color filter 15 to be inspected is assumed to be like (a), a color filter 16 for inspection corresponding thereto is formed to have arrangement (b). Both are superposed as shown in (c) and the light transmitted from a light source 17 is observed. Then, all the pixel parts are black if the color filter to be inspected is free from defects, etc., and is formed to have designed sizes. The parts where the defects exist show color tones exclusive of black. |
