<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the position of a pointer on a display screen from being deviated except that the position input device is moved by the intention of the user. CONSTITUTION: In the position input device where a detection section 3 to detect a moving quantity is provided, an output from the detection section 3 is converted into an electric signal by a conversion section 5, a painter is moved to an optional location on a display menu 4 to select a menu and to decide the position, the main body 1 of the position input device is provided with a sensor 2 sending whether or not the main body 1 is gripped. Moreover, the conversion section 5 is formed to attain the operation such that a pointer is moved with an output of the detection section 3 when the sensor 2 senses it that the main body 1 is gripped and the pointer is not moved regardless of an output of the detection section 3 when the sensor 2 senses it that the main body 1 is not gripped.</p> |
