<p>PURPOSE: To provide an ATM node equipment which can eliminate such a case where even a forced supersession management table of small capacity is occupied by the VCI of traffic of a low cell transfer peak rate and can always perform the effective forced supersession of packets and cells. CONSTITUTION: Three threshold value A to C are set to a cell buffer 10, and the VCI and the attribute are not newly registered in a forced supersession management table stored in a condition storage part 22 if the queue length is smaller than the value C. If the queue length is larger than the value C, the processing similar to the conventional packet/cell forced supersession procedure is carried out with use of the value A. Furthermore all contents of the forced supersession management table are erased if the queue length is smaller than the value B. In such a constitution, an ATM node equipment is constructed.</p> |
