PURPOSE: To adjust a differential limiting function at low cost without changing gears. CONSTITUTION: A differential gear device is provided with output side helical side gears 37 and 39 pivoted inside a differential case 21 rotated drivingly by a driving force of an engine, a pair of helical pinion gears 53 and 55 to which these gears 37 and 39 are connected, storing holes 49 and 51 which are formed in the differential case 21 and store gears 53 and 55, and a first cam member 67 which is pressed by a thrust force generated by engagement with the gear 37 and receives the torque for rotation. It is also provided with a second cam member 69 connected to a differential case 21 side movably in the axial direction, and a cam 87 which presses the member 69 against the gear 53 by the cam thrust force when the member 67 is rotated.
