A dedicated electrolytic plant for the treatment of aq. effluents contg. recoverable mineral or organic cpds. comprises a tank (1) fitted with a means of supply of liq. to be treated (2) and of evacuation (3) regulated to a desired level in the tank, in which electrodes (18, 28) of opposite polarity are placed alternately; these are, respectively, working electrodes and counter-electrodes. The counter-electrode is placed in a compartment (10) fitted with separators (29), so that the electrode is in a stationary mode during the operation of the corresp. electrochemical process. Also claimed is the electrochemical process using the plant described above.
