PURPOSE: To obtain the dictionary device which operates with a small-scale resource while equipped with a function similar to that of a device having rich information in a large amount of word meaning. CONSTITUTION: A record merging part 1 inspects whether or not the index of an input record is already recorded in a synonym index part 3, and deletes information overlapping with an opposite synonymic record by the synonym index part 3 when it is already registered to reduce the input record. A index registration part 2 takes a compound word analysis of the index of the record holding source information. The synonym index part 3 is a file containing the indexes of records holding source information from the index registration part 2, etc. A dictionary part 4 is equipped with a storage file, an index file, and a means which manages a free area and performs the addition of a record, etc. A compound word analysis part 5 decomposes an index into meaning, a stem part, and the modification part of the stem by morpheme analytic technology and syntax analytic technology. A record inference part 6 retrieves the record of the inputted index and retrieves the record in a dictionary part 4 when the record is a record holding source information. |
