PURPOSE: To determine not only the position of a frame which moves as an index moves, but also the position of a frame which does not move by judging whether a frame moves or does not move as the index moves and adjusting the relative position of the frame to the index. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 6 controls respective parts of the processor according to a control program stored in a ROM 7. When different information is ar ranged in the frames and those frames are combined to create and edit a document, it is decided whether the position of the frame corresponding to the stored index information is fixed or movable; when the position of the index information is changed, stored relative position information is updated according to the kind of the frame corresponding to the index information to adjust the relative position of the frame to the index. Here, when 2nd information is arranged in 1st information as the different information in the frame, the 1st information is preferably document information and the 2nd information preferably includes document information, image information, and figure information. Consequently, the frame and position relation based upon the frame as the index are held in a natural state. |
