PURPOSE: To synchronize a video signal and an audio signal without providing an interpolation filter as the component of the device by providing a means for generating the sampling clock/-synchronizing signal of the audio signal synchronized with the synchronizing signal of the video signal. CONSTITUTION: When the video signal is inputted from an input terminal IA to a video signal encoding part 101, that signal is sampled and encoded, and its synchronizing signal is transmitted to a clock generating part 102 for audio signal. Then, the clock such as the sampling clock for audio signal synchronized with this synchronizing signal of the video signal is generated by using any prescribed circuit (such as a PLL circuit, for example) and transmitted to a following audio signal encoding part 103. At the audio signal encoding part 103, the inputted audio signal is sampled and encoded corresponding to this sampling clock. A multiplexing part 104 multiplexes out the encoded data of this audio signal and the encoded data of the video signal. Therefore, hard configuration required for the multiplex encoding device can be simplified. |
