PURPOSE: To provide a novel image recording method capable of obtaining an image by a simple method in a high sensitive recording material using silver halide as a photosensor. CONSTITUTION: The image is obtained by imagewise exposing a recording material coated with at least a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizing compound, a dye decolored by a nucleophilic agent and the nucleophilic agent to form a latent image and polymerizing the polymerizing compound on a part where the latent image exists under heating at the same time of or after exposing to decolor the dye in the un-polymerized part by the nucleophilic agent, or the image is obtained by using a recording material from which the nucleophilic agent is removed, bringing the recording material into contact with the nucleophilic agent after polymerizing the polymerizing compound to decolor the dye in the un-polymerized part. |
