PURPOSE: To make the capacity of a developing machine storing black-toner larger than the capacity of another developing machine and to enhance the productivity of output by providing plural developing members in a circumferential direction at respective positions at equal intervals by specifying an angle formed by adjacent developing members with respect to the center of the revolution of a developing machine housing. CONSTITUTION: The developing machines 20Y, 20M, 20C and 20K storing yellow, magenta, cyan and black toner are arranged in the circumferential direction in this developing device 20. The angleδdeg. formed by the adjacent magnetic brushes (for example, the magnetic brushes 22M and 22C) with respect to the center of the revolution 20a of the respective developing machines 20Y, 20M, 20C and 20K is <90 deg., and the respective magnetic brushes 22Y, 22M, 22C and 22K are provided at equal intervals each other. Therefore, even when the toner capacity of the developing machine 20K storing the black toner is made larger, an interimage does not become long and the time for outputting the full color image is shortened.
