<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a nonmagnetic one-component developer having satisfactory flowability and cleanability and also having satisfactory fixability even at low temp. by specifying the rate of surface coating of a toner with a surface coating agent and apparent density. CONSTITUTION: A toner contg. a bonding resin, a colorant and an electric charge controlling agent is subjected to sphering treatment and the surface of the toner is coated with a surface treating agent at 5-50% rate of surface coating to obtain the objective nonmagnetic one-component developer whose apparent density is 0.33-0.38. The surface treating agent is preferably fine powder of one or more among silica, titania and alumina. The bonding resin is selected from among various thermoplastic resins such as polystyrene and polyethylene, modified acrylic resin, etc. A mixture of two or more kinds of such resins may be used.</p> |
