PURPOSE: To enhance operating performance and work efficiency by enlarging an operating range during a go-ahead-working-speed. CONSTITUTION: In a belt-type continuously variable transmission, in which the speed is changed and outputted from an input shaft to a speed change shaft and in which a change or adjustment of an effective transfer diameter of a split-type speed change pulley 10 is carried out by rotary operation of a speed change cam 32 by a speed change lever 39, an operation range of the speed change lever 39 during a go-ahead-working-speed is set at a value larger than the operating range during a go-ahead-traveling-speed that is greater than the go-ahead-working-speed.
