<p>PURPOSE: To hold whole width measurement including bent portions of shims always in a constant manner with high accuracy in a disc brake which prevents ratterling in respect to mounting by bending both ends of the shims mounted on a back plate of a pad. CONSTITUTION: A shim arranged on a back surface of a back plate 40 of a pad 36 is composed of a pair of half shims 42, 44. Substantially U-shaped bent portions 58, 60 respectively arranged on the half shims 42, 44 are in close contact with an end of the back plate 40. Under such a state, a specified clearance (d) is formed between the paired shims 42 and 44. A width measurement A is kept in substantially a constant manner irrespective of erroneous measurement of the half shims 42, 44 and the back plate 40.</p> |
