<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electron tube of small and light construction by forming at least part of a waveguide tube of a magnetic material, and forming part of a magnetic circuit for magnets of waveguide tube. CONSTITUTION: Magnets 2A, 2B are coupled with the two sides of electron tube 1 about its axial direction, wherein the tube 1 is arranged in the vertical direction, and one end of a yoke 7 in a plate form is coupled with one of the magnets 2A. One end of a waveguide tube 8 is coupled with the other end of the yoke 7, and the opening of the waveguide tube 8 is coupled with a mounting flange 9, with which the other magnet 2B is coupled. Part or the whole of the waveguide tube 8 and flange 9 is made of a magnetic material so that they constitute a closed magnetic circuit together with the yoke 7, magnets 2A, 2B, and the body 1 of electron tube. Because the tube 8 and flange 9 work as a part of a magnetic circuit, the yoke 7 may satisfactorily be provided in the form of a plate, which contributes to accomplishing the whole electron tube construction small and light.</p> |
