Each finger of the glove comprises two layers of flexible material running between the fingertip and the base joint. Along the back of each finger and between the flexible layers there runs a semicylindrical-section protective guard (15-17) of rigid material resistant to bending loads.The protective guard extends part-way round the finger on the outside, while at the joints it forms portions overlapping towards the wrist joint. Thus the overlapping portions fit closely against each other with the fingers of the hand extended.
