PURPOSE: To provide a servo controller capable of automatically adjusting the parameters of a control element so as to maintain desired characteristics even when the characteristics of a controlled system are changed. CONSTITUTION: The extension parameter calculation means 3a of an adjustment element 3 calculates extension parameters Kj where j=1, 2,..., m} for indicating M pieces of the parameters in M pieces of time sequences based on the response value of the controlled system 2 and operation signals from the control element 1. By using the extension parameter Kj calculated by the extension parameter calculation means 3a, the tentative parameter calculation means 3b of the adjustment element 3 calculates a tentative parameter K(k). Also, by using the tentative parameter K(k) calculated by the tentative parameter calculation means 3b, the estimation parameter calculation means 3c of the adjustment element 3 calculates an estimation parameter KΛ. Then, the adjustment element 3 automatically adjusts the parameter of the control element 1 by the estimated estimation parameter KΛof the controlled system 2.
