<p>The rack serving device provided for serving at least one rack system (RS1) comprises: a guide (F) extending in the region of half the height (H) of the rack system (RS1) in the horizontal direction (X); a carriage (W) which can travel on the guide (F); a lifting device (HE) which is disposed on the carriage (W) and whose driven member (A) is adjustable in the vertical direction (Y); and a gripper system (GS) which is disposed on the driven member (A) of the lifting device (HE) and can be moved in the transverse direction (Z). In a variant, the lifting device (HE) can be moved with the carriage (W) on a guide (F) which extends in the region of half the width of the rack system in the vertical direction (Y). The lifting device (HE) is preferably formed by a link chain. Rack compartments (RF) in the rack system (RS1) in the floor area and ceiling area can also be served by the rack serving device of the invention, i.e. better use can be made of the space available for rack compartments (RF).</p> |
