Vehicle seat mechanism with angular inclination adjustment

The seat mechanism (1) has a rotary setting shaft (4) beneath the seat surface (3) of the seat (2), allowing it to be tipped through a given angle so that it lies in an inclined position relative to the vehicle chassis, to maintain the driver in a horizontal sitting position when the vehicle is on an inclined surface.The seat is tipped automatically in dependence on the inclination of the chassis via a setting mechanism (7) cooperating with a deflection lever (6) secured to the rotary setting shaft on the outside of the seat. Pref. the seat is provided with an electronic level gauge, coupled to an electrically-controlled valve (9), regulating the oil flow to an electrically operated hydraulic setting cylinder (15).
