Partition between engine and passenger space of vehicle

The partition acts at the sides against A-section columns, and has a portion at the top protruding towards the passenger space. The protrusion is of U-section (4a-c), and extends for the whole width of the vehicle. It forms a chamber (5) open towards the engine (2), and which accommodates accessories, particularly those (9-11) of an air-conditioning system.Its opposite end edges are joined to the lateral columns (1). The partition can be slightly arched at the protrusion. It can be supported at the underside and in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle by a central rigid component.
