The flywheel has a friction face, coacting with a friction disc on a gearbox input shaft, with the disc compressible against the friction face via a clutch securable to the flywheel. The contact surfaces for the clutch fastening are spaced from the flywheel end, away from the IC engine.There are at least two groups of three coupling cams for fitting of the clutch. Pref. the friction clutch has an arrangement for automatic compensation of wear. Between the friction face and the flywheel securing recesses may be located axial apertures.
