Groups of available microorganisms are added to sewage instead of the putrefying aerobic microorganisms to be utilized in the conventional aeration tank to effect the fermentation, decomposition and synthesis of organic matter, thereby conducting sewage treatment without emitting any offensive odor or toxic gas and producing any harmful substance to provide treated water which can be recycled as potable water or water for miscellaneous purposes. Four types of available microorganism groups are allowed to coexist and symbiose to effect fermentation and proliferation, and a given amount of the resulting available microorganisms is added to an aeration tank where they are utilized to treat the sewage. The treated water is introduced into a plurality of precipitation tanks successively, and a part thereof is recirculated to the aeration tank.
|
