The camshaft or a comparable control shaft is coupled with its drive wheel (3) via an intermediate gear of the Braren (RTM) cycloid type. It comprises a first shaft (11), a second shaft (12) and a third shaft (13). All three shafts are coaxial. On the third shaft an eccentric (14) is non-rotatively fitted.On the eccentric a two-stage curve disc (15) is freely rotatable in relation to the eccentric. This two-stage curve disc comprises two coaxial, parallel curve discs (15',15") non-rotatively connected to one another and having different dias. They have a closed cycloid curve as limitation. The first shaft is formed as a wheel body, which on its periphery carries bolts with rollers.
