The proposal is for a process used for frequency correction in multi-carrier processes. A received signal is shifted into the base band by a predetermined frequency and then subjected to a modified Fourier transform. From the Fourier-transformed signal is obtained a measurement which is proportional to the difference between the predetermined frequency and that of the carrier signal. The measurement is taken into account in the Fourier transform and hence the frequency difference is compensated.
