Two parallel side walls (1) and one of the other side walls (2,3) of the box are expanded by a step (7) in a direction from the base to the opening. The width of the step corresponds to the thickness of the side walls. The fourth side wall extends at an angle from an inwardly offset end of the base (5) towards the top, and forms an offset wall section (9).Window-shaped recesses (11,12) are formed in the wall section and an opposite wall section (10). The base has extended sections (14,15) projecting over the side walls which engage into the recesses of boxes underneath, for stacking.
