Application of internal mineral coating to domestic water piping

The method for application of internal mineral coatings to domestic water piping is characterised by the fact that the cleaned piping is wetted with silicate solutions, and the damp film thus produced is hardened through acidification by means of carbon dioxide gas. Before acidification, the silicate film applied is subjected to intermediate drying by means of warm air. The process is repeated to influence the thickness and structure of the coating produced. Other gases or gas mixtures with acidification effects can be used besides carbon dioxide. Gases or gas mixtures emerging from the piping can be collected, compressed and used repeatedly in a circulation system.
