<p>There is presented an anti-lock brake system (18, 2, 4, 6, 8) including a motor and pump assembly (30) for supplying brake fluid to the brake system, the assembly comprising an electric motor (32), and gear pumps (34, 36) driven by the electric motor (32) and operative to provide the brake fluid under pressure to the brake system through fluid conduits (50, 58, 60, 52, 54) to brakes (2, 4, 10, 12). The anti-lock brake system operates at vibration and noise levels substantially below those of reciprocating pump type assemblies.</p> |
